Massage Isn't a One-Type-Fits-All Therapy

I am trained and experienced in a wide variety of massage technique and modalities. I incorporate a variety of techniques and modalities to address your unique concerns and condition.  With more than 20 years of experience, you can trust me to become a partner in your health and care.

Techniques and Modalities Ed uses:

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is effective for chronic aches and pains--and tight areas like a stiff neck/back, low back pain, leg muscles and shoulders. Firm pressure and slow strokes reach deeper layers of muscle and fascia.

Trigger Point Therapy

Address tight areas within a muscle using pressure and release methods. Trigger points, left untreated can cause referred pain or stiffness in other areas.

Pregnancy Massage

Massage is a great way to help moms-to-be relieve aches and pains in a safe and drug-free manner. Special care is taken on your positioning on the table for maximum comfort and relaxation.

Oncology Massage

Modifying classic massage techniques to meet the needs of cancer patients and survivors is critical. These personalized sessions aim to support the body's innate healing capabilities and increase overall relaxation and comfort.

Cervical Massage

This specialized neck massage works to address neck pain and stiffness. Your cervical spine includes 7 vertebrae, 8 nerve roots and 32 muscles and ligaments so it's important to keep it pain-free and flexible!

Reflexology

Reflexology is the use of (appropriate) pressure to specific points on the hands, feet, lower legs, or ears.  These areas correspond to different organs or systems in the body and the pressure helps relax, relieve stress and improve functionality.

Swedish Massage

This is the best-known type of bodywork and long, gliding strokes are used in the direction of blood flow back to the heart. The goal is to relax the body, improve circulation and flexibility and ease tension.

TMJ Massage

Tempromandibular Joint Disorders (TMJ) can cause inflamed and painful chewing muscles in the jaw. TMJ Massage is designed to reduce pain and ease TMJ symptoms.

Reiki

Ed is a Reiki Master and can incorporate Reiki into your session. Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation to promote healing. It channels the energy flow between the patient and provider.
